The?Ultrastar DC HC550?features multi-axis shock sensor technology that automatically detects and compensates for even the smallest shocks to protect the data stored on the Ultrastar DC HC550, and is equipped with RAID-specific features such as error recovery time that is reduced through the hard drive’s error recovery processes. Ramp load/unload technology moves the recording heads away from the platters when the drive is not in use and when powering down, ensuring less wear and tear on the recording heads and media.
